In the 2011 Legislative session, the new CT Partnership Plan intended to save money on health insurance premiums by joining the state health care plan is ready for business. This plan is offered to towns, cities and school boards.
The state comptroller’s office analyzed more than 50 municipal employers and found that municipalities can save 5 – 8% on health insurance premiums. This policy change will provide relief on local property tax payers.
